Thank You for 40 Years!

Dear Shoe Family,

It was a joy to host you for Be Our Guest, our 40th anniversary celebration presented by ara Shoes and featuring Barron Ryan. Thank you for joining us, and for being the reason that we are still serving Tulsa after all these years!

During Barron’s pop-up concert, he spoke about the inspiration for his new composition, “Cinderella Story.” He drew upon the Brothers Grimm version of Cinderella, which sees our heroine honor her family heritage, demonstrate diligence, and practice patience. Then by the favor shown through a little white bird, she receives blessings beyond her wildest imagination and marries the prince.

“Cinderella Story” envisions the scene when, for the first time after her wedding, Cinderella returns to the tree where the little white bird lives (and which she planted to honor her mother’s memory). We imagine she would be grateful—almost as grateful as we are for you in the life of our store.
